Berkley Child and Family Development Center

A state-of-the-art early childhood school that also serves as a learning tool for early childhood students, Berkley serves children of UMKC employees, students, and the Kansas City community.

The Basic School

A national elementary school initiative which provides outreach to schools that focus on school culture, collaborative decision making, community, curriculum, climate, and character.

Center for Economic Education

Dedicated to increasing the economic literacy of our nation's youth in order to better prepare them for their future as individuals and as citizens.

KC-TEACH Program

An innovative collaborative project that seeks to increase the number of high school science teachers in the Kansas City, Missouri School District.

Missouri Accelerated Schools/Missouri Professional Learning Communities

Offers staff development and technical assistance to schools that are participating in the Missouri Accelerated Schools Project

Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) Center

Recruits and trains local teachers to develop, use, and schore performance-based assessments

Missouri Educational Policy Fellowship Program

A professional development program preparing emerging and mid-level leaders in public and private organizations for greater responsibility in education and associated fields.

Southwest Early College Campus

A math and science early college campus for students in grades 6-12 in partnership with the School of Education and UMKC College of Arts and Sciences.

UMKC Charter School Center

Independent public schools located in the Kansas City Missouri School District.

UMKC Professional Development Center

Supports the professional development of school districts in the region.

Urban Educator Corps

The SOE is a member of the Urban Educator Corps (UEC), the educational strand of the Coalition of Urban Serving Universities.  UEC's mission is to improve student academic performance and reduce achievement gaps in participating school districts and schools by enhancing and supporting "pipelines" of high quality educators.
