Educational Specialist in Counseling

The educational specialist degree (Ed.S.) in counseling is a post-master’s program designed for experienced counselors who desire to improve, update or add another area to their professional expertise. The program is designed with flexibility to support the preparation of licensed professional counselors and certified school counselors.


EdS students will

  1. Develop advanced knowledge in the professional practice of counseling;
  2. Build on  existing knowledge of counseling theory and career development and gain advanced knowledge in these areas;
  3. Develop competencies in the professional practice of counseling in school or community settings;
  4. Prepare for professional licensure.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and reviews could take up to 8 weeks.
