Learning Outcomes

Students will develop the knowledge and skills needed to:
# 1 – Apply the philosophical, historical and legal foundations of special education as needed in the school setting
# 2 – Understand the development and characteristics of learners and learning differences
# 3 – Implement instructional strategies for learners with exceptionalities
# 4 – Apply knowledge of learning environments and social interactions to learners with exceptionalities
# 5 – Demonstrate knowledge and skills needed for instructional planning
# 6 – Assess, diagnose, evaluate and create programming for learners with exceptionalities
