I just want to quickly communicate how wonderful the data team process has been for us this school year.  Although it hasn’t necessarily been easy for us, we are beginning to see some wonderful changes.  The consultant who has worked with us is absolutely wonderful, and I really think that my staff is moving in the right direction because of her. When I took over the special services program at my school… I didn’t know where to begin.  I contacted the consulting team at UMKC RPDC and they have provided me with support and guidance every step of the way.  Compliance was the focus of my first year and Susan Borgmeyer was my “go to” person.  With Susan and her team’s guidance, my staff has been able to get their paperwork in order and in a manageable fashion.  The end result is working smarter not harder which opens up more energy and resources for our students.  Simply put, my team and our students could not have had the success they did last year without the consulting team at UMKC RPDC.

Our partnership with KCRPDC last year allowed our staff at Pershing Elementary to learn about and begin initial implementation of the PLC and Data Teams process.  The on-site support was essential to our work and the progress we made.  Previous relationships with the RPDC staff have allowed us to already achieve depth in our work during this 2013-14 school year. The foundational PLC work around Intentional Collaboration has truly allowed our building to reach new levels and, ultimately, influence student learning.
