What our school partners say about us….
I just want to quickly communicate how wonderful the data team process has been for us this school year. Although it hasn’t necessarily been easy for us, we are beginning to see some wonderful changes. The consultant who has worked with us is absolutely wonderful, and I really think that my staff is moving in the right direction because of her. The data team training and implementation has been a great experience and I am looking forward to many more wonderful things to come next year.

I believe that I have finally found the key to Thomas Hart Benton school improvement in our partnership with UMKC RPDC. The PLC and Data Team training our building leadership team received equipped them with the skills and confidence necessary to lead our staff through deeper, more reflective work this year. We are poised to make significant shifts in teaching and learning as we anxiously look forward to the results of our next data cycle.

I have been delighted with the ongoing support we have received at Eagle Glen Intermediate from the consulting team at the UMKC RPDC. Our involvement in this professional development process has had a profound impact on me as an instructional leader, my staff members, and the students at Eagle Glen. I appreciate how the staff members at UMKC RPDC work hard to provide focused, relevant support that is sensitive to our unique needs as a learning community. We have benefited greatly as a team from the on-site visits and the professional development sessions for my building leadership team at Union Station. I highly recommend this results-oriented professional support to any school or district that is willing to challenge the status quo and become a high-functioning professional learning community.

When I took over the special services program at my school… I didn’t know where to begin. I contacted the consulting team at UMKC RPDC and they have provided me with support and guidance every step of the way. Compliance was the focus of my first year and Susan Borgmeyer was my “go to” person. With Susan and her team’s guidance, my staff has been able to get their paperwork in order and in a manageable fashion. The end result is working smarter not harder which opens up more energy and resources for our students. Simply put, my team and our students could not have had the success they did last year without the consulting team at UMKC RPDC.

It has been a pleasure working with the staff members of the UMKC RPDC over the past several years. Their staff is highly knowledgeable about innovative practices, professional, and excellent at facilitating effective collaboration with our team here at Paxton Elementary. The collaborative discussions between the RPDC staff and our teachers has a direct, positive impact on our continuous improvement efforts and ultimately leads to improving student learning at our school.

Over the past three years, it has been such a positive experience to partner with UMKC RPDC to support student growth at both the elementary and high school levels. Through our on-going work with UMKC, my teachers and staff have come to appreciate and utilize a more collaborative culture to support data-based instruction, research – based teaching and learning strategies, and to support academic growth for ALL students. I feel we have become a more focused, intentional group of professional educators through our affiliation with UMKC RPDC. I look forward to our continued partnership!

UMKC RPDC has been a huge support to our faculty and staff as we tackle setting up data teams, having data team meetings and providing support as we learn the Common Core Standards. The team members that have come to our district work with us as a partnership and provide training and support. I love the way they have individualized their training to meet our specific needs. We look forward to a continued partnership over the next couple of years.

When I needed resources regarding ELL assessment, everything that was sent me by the ELL instructional specialist at the RPDC helped me tenfold! I really appreciated the help! I am so happy to have an outside resource in the RPDC!

Our partnership with KCRPDC last year allowed our staff at Pershing Elementary to learn about and begin initial implementation of the PLC and Data Teams process. The on-site support was essential to our work and the progress we made. Previous relationships with the RPDC staff have allowed us to already achieve depth in our work during this 2013-14 school year. The foundational PLC work around Intentional Collaboration has truly allowed our building to reach new levels and, ultimately, influence student learning.

The UMKC RPDC team has been extremely helpful in supporting the Raytown School District with district-wide implementation of School-Wide Positive Behavior Supports. The consultants helped us gain buy-in from staff, organize teams and training, and provided information necessary to continuously move forward with our implementation. The UMKC RPDC consultants’ dedication and collaboration has been invaluable to our school district’s journey in SW-PBS.
