Happy New Year, and welcome back.

 

Preliminary enrollment numbers from the start of the semester compared to this time last year show us down 9% (30 students) at the undergraduate level but down 27% (146 students) in our graduate programs.  I trust all faculty and staff will encourage students who may not have yet registered to do so.  We will keep a watchful eye on both enrollment and credit hours and report out again at census date on February 13.

 

Recipients of the 2017 UMKC Women’s Council Graduate Assistance Fund (GAF) will be honored at a reception on February 16 at Grand Street Café, and I am pleased to report that of the 74 outstanding women who will receive a total of $90,476 in funding, 13 hail from the School of Education!  Congratulations to:
