Graduate Certificates
The School of Education’s graduate certificates are short, focused programs of study taught online and/or in classrooms by UMKC SOE faculty (and, UMSL faculty in the community college leadership program). For working professionals, certificate programs may increase earning potential, assist students in developing new skills in preparation for a career change, or provide the opportunity to “get their feet wet” before committing to a longer-term degree program. Upon satisfactory completion; however, each of the courses within the specific certificate programs may be applied to a graduate degree. For existing students, certificate programs allow for further specialization in a particular field of study.
