The Master of Arts in Special Education is a 76 credit-hour degree program that includes coursework leading to Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education certification in Special Education (mild to moderate cross-categorical disabilities) and a Master of Arts degree from UMKC. Following admission to the program, individuals seeking the MA in Special Education meet with an advisor to establish a Program of Study.
