Building Partnerships Between Families and Teachers

Encouraging a high degree of family enthusiasm for their child’s early childhood program  is one of the best ways in which teachers can build children’s self-esteem and reduce guidance problems. From birth a child’s relationships and interactions with adults are critical determinants of development and learning.  This session shares different strategies we can use to build partnerships between teachers and families.  Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on best practices in creating a classroom and program culture that supports the teacher, child and family as a learning community.
