The Missouri Leadership Development System (MLDS) is a continuum of learning and supports provided to school leaders from aspiring to retiring. In addition to content available for aspiring school leaders, five levels of support comprise MLDS: Emerging Year 1, Emerging Year 2, Developing Year 1, Developing Year 2 and Transformational Leadership.
Target Support and Improvement Schools:
The MLDS is also committed to support school leaders of educational institutions which have the Target Support and Improvement (TSI) Schools designation. School leaders who work at TSI schools will receive targeted support to meet individual leadership needs, as well as levels of support to meet local, state, and federal academic goals and expectancies. TSI school leaders will receive four regional meetings, which provide practical, relevant learning, as well two coaching labs providing hands-on experiences to improve skills in developing and growing teachers. Additionally, TSI leaders will receive push-in services to support specific needs which may include professional development/training in the following areas: Leadership, Special Education, English Language Learners, DESE compliance, and district compliance.
