9:00 am - 10:00 am

Theresa Wills is Assistant Professor of Mathematics Education Leadership at George Mason University, Fairfax, VA. She has been teaching Mathematics Education online for over ten years, and shares her expertise in a variety of online instructional methods through speaking engagements, her website , and her new book, “Teaching Math at a Distance”, published by Corwin. The KCRPDC is happy to make her available to our educational community in a series of virtual workshops.

In this virtual workshop Dr. Wills will focus how to effectively incorporate rich math tasks into online instruction. Involve your virtual students in mathematical discourse and raise the cognitive engagement level as you facilitate and monitor group time online. You will leave armed with a collection of practices and tools that will help you to deepen your work with math students of every level, and have a chance to take your questions to an expert.
