Self-regulation and self-management serve as a foundation for lifelong functioning. Stress and trauma can lead to difficulties regulating emotions, reactions, and body sensations. Come explore what self-management is, how it relates to learning and well-being, and how to help students develop it. We will identify four components, strategies to address each component, and make a take-home model for understanding how self-regulation connects to co-regulation, self-care and school culture to ultimately result in individuals who can be self-aware self-managers.
Participants will be able to
- Identify the four components of Self-Regulation
- Identify strategies to address each component
- Understand how self-regulation connects to co-regulation
