This training will consist of 4 days throughout the school year and is designed for schools who are new to Tier 2.
Session 1 – Will focus on foundational knowledge including reviewing key features of Tier 2 systems, intensifying supports for student at-risk, confirming readiness for tier2 at the school level and a review of MO- SWPBS Decision making model. Session 2-Prepares teams to implement function based intervention for at – risk students. This session includes developing a data base process for student identification, gathering and reviewing data, selection appropriate function based intervention, monitoring student response to intervention and making decisions about student’s progress based on progress monitoring. Session 3&4-Teams will work toward implementing a research based intervention, The Behavior Education program – Check in / Check -out. Outcomes for these session include, identifying implementation components of CICO, identifying students who would benefit from CICO, develop a system for progress monitoring and determine an exit criteria for students who on CICO.
