The Master Teacher Academy is extraordinary, intensive professional learning for select area teachers. This yearlong learning cohort-driven experience is designed to develop the deep pedagogical practice, content knowledge, and leadership skills that are the signature of a master teacher.
The Kansas City Master Teacher Academy will provide participants with a variety of rich experiences aligned with the Missouri Educator Standards. The Academy utilizes an action-research-based curriculum, monitoring student growth and analyzing the effectiveness of instructional methods/strategies. The Academy will utilize research-based materials as well as the expert knowledge of the cohort, providing opportunities for participants to develop not only their knowledge and expertise, but their abilities to communicate this information as professional learning leaders.
